Consultations
An appointment at Embody Health Osteopathy will comprise of:
An online patient consent form (for initial appointments) to be completed prior to your arrival.
A thorough case history, assessment, and treatment undertaken by your practitioner.
Treatment will only proceed if clinically indicated and after obtaining informed patient consent.
If treatment is indicated, your practitioner will explain the assessment process, proposed techniques or exercises, and any potential risks involved.
Should it be determined, after your consultation, that you are not a candidate for osteopathic treatment, your practitioner may recommend appropriate referral to another healthcare provider. In such instances, the full consultation fee remains payable.
Payment is required at the time of your consultation. Private health insurance rebates may be available if you have the appropriate osteopathy cover in your extras policy.
Online Bookings
When you register online as a patient, you may receive emails from us. You have the option to unsubscribe from these emails at any time.
Online Forms
All digital forms completed by you are securely transferred to your medical file held on our practice management system Cliniko. These forms and files are part of your confidential medical record and are used solely for clinical purposes.
Cancellations
We have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. By booking an appointment with us and consenting to treatment, you agree to provide us with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the scheduled consultation fee.
We understand that situations outside of your control may occur. In these cases, we will have open communication with you before applying a cancellation fee.
We appreciate your respect for our practitioners' time and for other patients who may be waiting for appointments.
If a cancellation fee is applied, treatment will not be possible until the fee is paid in full.
Schedule of Fees
All fees are payable at the time of your consultation.
Rebates from private health funds may be available if you hold appropriate osteopathy cover in your extras.
Please email or call us prior to your appointment for the current fee schedule.
Fees may change without notice.
Embody Health Osteopathy may charge a gap fee to all third-party payments, with the consultation fee to be paid in full on the day. Third-party payments include those made by Medicare, and Private Health Insurers. Patients must bring any necessary documentation for claims, including relevant DVA, Enhanced Primary Care Management Plan referrals.
